关于国际汉语教学 Lijian Hong Monash University, Australia Abstract: Teaching Chinese for foreigners should not be an one-way delivery of information and knowledge, but should be regarded as an intercultural communication between teachers and students. At the same time, Chinese language and culture teaching in Western tertiary institutions should be made available for Chinese background students. Learning Chinese in Western countries will not only provide Chinese overseas students an opportunity to understand western approach to academic issues without language barrier, but also provide alternative views of China and its culture, history, society, etc. |
