The "Can do" statements are associated with the UK Framework for Languages and are very useful for teachers to develop their own assessment strategies, particularly in the Elementary school.
Students should be able to show evidence in the reading, writing, and speaking areas with the "Can do" statements.
They are easy to use and target benchmarks that students attain while learning a language.

Hey Shaz,
This is great. I've heard a lot about "Can Do" statements, but have never seen it broken down in this way before. It seems a lot simpler than the ACTFL standards, which are great because they are so detailed, but can become tedious to read if you want some quick information about a student's level. Would you mind uploading this pdf under "Assesment Tools" in the database?
