Ohlone Elementary School will share their experience setting up a Mandarin-English dual immersion program. The focus of this session is on developing the program rather than running it and includes the types of decisions that must be made and the groups that are involved prior to implementation including laying the groundwork, feasibility study, federal grant application, professionalpartnership, teacher preparation, setting up classrooms and more.
