Mandarin Institute (previously CAIS Institute), a non profit organization located in San Francisco, was founded in 1989 to advocate Chinese language and culture education nationwide. We provide educators with comprehensive approaches to teaching, acquiring, and enhancing Chinese language and cultural literacy. We draw on over 30 years of accomplishment by the Chinese American International School (CAIS), the nation’s first Mandarin-English immersion school.
