1000 Names in Chinese

submitted by caisinstitute on Mar 02, 2009

This website collected 1000 American names and translated into Chinese. The author Andres Loe is a poet and novelist. He was educated in Taiwan and the United States, his multi-lingual; multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary background very well distinguishes him from the rest.

Being a Chinese teacher, one

Being a Chinese teacher, one of my biggest headaches is giving Chinese names to 40 to 60 students in a week. It calls for a profound understanding of the character system across different cultures including Chinese and Taiwanese, as well as familiarity with Western culture. This website can help with this a great deal. Recommended for teachers of Chinese.
