The Asian Art Museum is an inspiring environment for educators and students to discover the richness of Asian art and culture. Through a diverse selection of education programs, students can learn about Asian art and the cultural context in which it was created. Each school program is customized to enhance the California History/Social Science, English/Language Arts and Visual Arts content standards. K-12 school programs are lead by the volunteer docents and storytellers and are offered free of charge (reservations are required).

In addition to school programs, the education department offers a number of learning opportunities for the educational community. Educator events are offered throughout the year on a variety of topics while educational resources can be borrowed or purchased through the education department.
