We are finding it hard to find books that have both traditional characters and pin-yin, for the 1st through 4th grade level. Especially books that are interesting for boys!

Suggestions for specific books or sources welcome.

Brad

Hi Brad,

I've found two resources from that carry a variety of Chinese materials, you may take a look of them. Here are the links:
http://themandarincenter.org/websites/childbook
http://themandarincenter.org/materials/far-east-book-coltd

Another way may help you to find the materials is go to The Mandarin Center front page and in the top right corner type keywords such as "traditional characters" or "pin-yin" to do the search; or go to "Browse Section" and there have some options that helps narrowing down the results.

I hope this information helps!

Joyce

I am starting a story on my bilingual education blog site for children who speak English and/or Chinese. I'll probably be posting a small segment each week, in English, simplified and traditional Chinese characters, as well as pin-yin. Please visit http://sweetieandbobo.wordpress.com.

I also need the source for some of the traditional books which I am intending to learn. I would like to learn more about traditional characters and pin-yin. My son in 4th grade also likes to learn it. Actually when I was on my internship, I heard about traditional characters and interested in this field. If I find any information, I'll probably be posting a small segment each week, in English, simplified and traditional Chinese characters, as well as pin-yin.
