Hi all,
In my experience, I find that many normal games (such as the ones we play at home with friends and family) can be great tools for teaching Chinese.
Some of my favorites include 'Taboo', 'Mad Libs', and 'Apples to Apples'. I just modify the rules a little bit to require Chinese descriptions instead of English. Kids usually love these games, they laugh a lot, and the energy level is always high.
Can people recommend other family games that work like this?

Normal games for Chinese learning! Very interesting. I am wondering which ones are suitable for classroom activities...hmmm...
That's a very interesting idea. Aside from the children having their fun, they also get to use the game to learn the lesson and follow the instructions too. I guess I could use these idea too with my kids. Thanks for the idea. I don't much about chinese games but I think that would be an easy job to research for that. Normal games are not that hard to follow and easy for the kids too understand that is why that is a very good idea.
Hi all, it is a very interesting idea...but kids are very familiar with the normal activities/games, so they don't need to practice their languages to complete their games...what should we do?
