City Terrace School is proud to announce its Mandarin Chinese-English Dual Language Program for the 2009-2010 Academic Year. Our Mandarin-English Dual Language Program will continue to provide our students with the opportunity to develop linguistic skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese so that they can compete globally in the job market and world economy. Students in the program will learn to speak, read, and write Mandarin.

City Terrace School, within walking distance of the campus of California State University, Los Angeles educates students from Pre-K to Grade 5. The Mandarin-English Dual Language Program began with full day Kindergarten in 2007-2008 and will continue opening a new class at each grade every year through 5th grade. City Terrace School invites you to register your child. Space will be available for Kindergarten eligible students and for Grade 1 and Grade 2 students from Mandarin-speaking homes. Intra-district permits and permits for students outside LAUSD will be available. In order to qualify for a space, your child must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be aged 5.0 by December 2, 2009 AND Eligible for kindergarten or first grade or second grade in the 2009-2010 school year

Be from a Mandarin Chinese speaking home OR

Be a Mandarin Chinese speaker OR

Be an English Proficient speaker
