I was inspired by my high school Chinese teacher and know first hand how an educator can influence her students and change the course of their future. I hope to have the same kind of effect on my future students' lives by educating them in Mandarin Chinese. Because this field is still is developing there is great opportunity to be innovative and creative in teaching methods, something which I constantly strive for.
